Free Online English Practice for Ukrainian Veterans and Military Personnel

Updated: 6 days ago

Ukrainian veteran and military person have free online English practice with English-speaking volunteers at ENGin.

Veterans and military personnel are invited to learn English for free with volunteers from around the world.

ENGin, an international non-governmental organization, has launched a special program called ENGin for Defenders for military personnel, veterans and medical professionals. The program includes weekly online meetings with English-speaking volunteers from over 140 countries. ENGin for Defenders was created to help Ukraine's defenders master English for personal development, further education, international communication, or adaptation to civilian life after service.

Within the program, each participant is matched with a personal English-speaking volunteer based on their level of English, interests and schedule.

Participants meet with their volunteers online once a week for 1 hour and communicate in English on topics of interest. All volunteers are carefully selected, including the organization's verification of their support for Ukraine. They also receive additional training and guidance on how to communicate with Ukrainians, including the military and veterans.

To participate in the program, you need to have a basic or higher level of English, as well as access to the Internet and the ability to devote one hour a week to studying. Training is free of charge for the military, veterans and medical professionals.

Access to learning English for Ukrainian veterans and military personnel can really play a big role in adaptation and future employment. It is especially valuable that the program is free and focused on support, not formalities. By the way, in the field of educational administration - many face difficulties, for example, when working with platforms like FACTS Management. I read about this in reviews on factsmgt - and you understand how important a human approach is in any educational systems, especially when it comes to people with difficult life experiences.
