Our student Diana-Dilan Haji wants to share how ENGin changed her life. When she joined the program in the summer of 2020, she was an isolated teenager with no clear plans for her future. However, one link changed everything for her.
Initially, she had an A2 level in English and was extremely nervous before
her interview. Over the years, she had three amazing volunteers who helped her improve her skills and gave her the motivation to immerse herself in the English language. By watching movies and TV shows in English, attending group sessions, and setting up her phone in English, she was able to reach an advanced level.
Thanks to ENGin, Diana was able to participate in summer programs, with a full scholarship, through Yale and Parsons Paris. She was even able to organize her own international speaking club that had students and volunteers from more than 25 countries. More importantly, she met wonderful people who became lifelong friends.
Currently, Diana has been accepted into two universities in London and Florida, and she is waiting for the results of her other applications.
“I want to share my story to show that learning English doesn't have to be just about grammar books. ENGin taught me that anything is possible with the right support and motivation. So if you're feeling lost or uncertain about your future, don't give up. ENGin changed my life, and it can change yours too!”
